Is Your Firewood Truly Dry?

Today we run an experiment on some slab wood. The ends of each slab appear to be dry. However, when we cut into the wood, we get a different story. We also learn in this experiment how the wood is trying and how different species compare to each other.

What type of wood do you put in your evaporator? Is it truly dry enough to be burned?
