used this system last year and in 14 hours brought our sap to 10 percent total amount of sap ro was 2985 gallons which when done we wound up with right about 550 gallons of 10% sap which took our cooking time from 149.25 hours down to 27.5 hours which for us was perfect it cut out approximately 107.75 hours of cooking. this was a very efficient for us as we no longer have the time to cook for weeks on end. Love the addition. We made a total of 55 gallons of syrup this year. We have also upgraded to 3/16 tubing throughout our sugar bush which is flat and hooked the lines to a hybrid solar system to supply the vacuum. We equaled our sap production of last year with over 400 tap and buckets with just 156 taps hooked to the 3/16 line this last season in a matter of one week. Both systems together worked well.
