How to Properly Open/Close a Ball Valve

To reduce fatigue on your pan fittings, open and close the handle on your ball valve using a TURNING motion. It’s all in the wrist! Alternatively, pulling or yanking on the valve handle could place excessive torque/strain on the pan fitting.

A torn fitting can happen on ANY brand of pan. However, proper operation of the ball valve will go a long way to prevent damage.
