Sap Logistics – Auto Refill Head Tanks

The year in which this video was recorded, we were using a high efficiency Corsair Evaporator, evaporating over 95 gallons per hour. We can feed this evaporator all day with only a 50 gallon head tank. This video will explain how that works!

Sap is heavy. It can be dangerous to put more in the air than you really need to. A compact head tank is not only safer, but also an amazing space saver. I’ve never met a sugar maker who hasn’t wished they had more space in their sugarhouse.
