Why Can’t I Change the Settings on my Auto Draw Off System?

If you’re unable to change the settings on your Simplicity or Guardian Auto Draw Off Systems, don’t worry—this is usually caused by one small, easy-to-fix setting: the LCY setting.

Here’s a step-by-step explanation of what’s happening and how to resolve it.

Accessing Menus and Settings

After your Simplicity Auto Draw-Off System boots up, you will see this Home Screen. (Current Syrup Temp in red and Draw Off Temp in green.)

From this home screen, you can access two different menus which allow you to customize settings:

1. Draw Off Menu – Used to customize your draw-off temperature.
2. Alarm Menu – Used to customize when the alarm activates.

Each menu is accessed using the SET button:

• To access the Draw-Off Menu, quick tap the SET button.
  → To EXIT, quick tap SET again.
• To access the Alarm Menu, press and hold the SET button for 4 seconds.
  → To EXIT, hold SET for 4 seconds again.

What Is the LCY Setting?

When exiting the Alarm Menu, if you accidentally quick tap SET (instead of holding for 4 seconds), the system will toggle to a hidden screen called LCY.

LCY is a security feature that can lock your system settings, preventing any changes from being made.

• Set to ZERO – Settings are UN-locked
• Set to any other number – Settings are Locked

How to Unlock Your System:

If your system won’t let you adjust the settings, it’s likely that LCY has been changed away from zero.

1. Enter the Alarm Menu by holding SET for 4 seconds.
2. Once you are in the Alarm Menu, quick tap SET to view the LCY screen. Use the arrows to set LCY to zero (0).
3. Once LCY is set to zero, press and hold SET for 4 seconds to exit to the home screen.

Your system will now allow you to make changes to your settings as normal.
