This product is also known as a “warming pan” or a “preheater pan”.
The feed pan increases efficiency and ease-of-use by allowing the user to keep a trickle of raw sap flowing into the main boiling pan at all times. The slow steady flow of raw sap will prevent the main pan from being overwhelmed with too much sap at once and also help keep it boiling hard. The steam from the main pan also helps warm the raw sap inside the feed pan before it is introduced to the main pan.
A 1/2″ stainless steel ball valve is included with every feed pan.
The 20″ Feed Pan is sized perfectly for the Dauntless Flat Pan or Dauntless Divided Pan. This Feed Pan — also known as a “warming pan” — increases efficiency and ease-of-use by allowing the user to constantly trickle raw sap into the main boiling pan to maintain sap depth. The slow, constant flow of raw sap will prevent the main pan from being overwhelmed with too much sap at once so a steady, efficient boil can be maintained. The steam from the main pan warms the raw sap inside the feed pan which also helps boiling efficiency.
