Pneumatic Tire Hardware Kits Include:

1/2″ x 1-3/4″ Bolt (qty 4)
1/2″ Hex Nut (qty 4)
1/2″ Flat Washer (qty 8)
5/8″ Flat Washer (qty 8)
1-1/2″ Cotter Pins (qty 4)

TIPS FOR SMART USAGE

Install tire sets BEFORE bricking the arch.
Due to their larger size and various other engineering considerations, the Pneumatic Tire Sets are intentionally fixed. Simply pick up one end of the evaporator to point it in the direction you need to go and roll away. Never force the Pneumatic Tires to turn.
The tire sets are intended to stay attached to the evaporator once they are installed.
Place a wedge in the wheel/tire path to ensure that the evaporator remains stationary during operation.
Remove pans before transporting the evaporator. Otherwise, the vibrations from movement could cause the pan to shift during transport.
Never tie guy wires directly down to your wheel/tire set. Guy wires should be extended out at least 4 feet from the evaporator. See our Backyard Set Up Series for more tips on properly securing your Stack Pipe.
Inflate Pneumatic Tires to 30 PSI or as directed on the side of tire.

The Pneumatic Tire Kit is an easy solution to transport your Smoky Lake evaporator through just about any terrain. If you boil sap outdoors but need to wheel your evaporator into a building when you’re not using it, this is for you. If you keep your evaporator in one building but seasonally transport it to another location — and back again, this is for you. The Pneumatic Tire Kit can also be left on your evaporator while using it, raising it to an even more comfortable height. Tons of convenience and versatility. Bolted on in only a few minutes!

Please note: This type of wheel kit does NOT swivel. They are “Straight Runners” which means you will point the evaporator in the direction you want to go, and roll away. Never try to force pneumatic tires to turn.
