Description
As of May 2, 2022, the Stainless Steel upgrade is now a standard feature. Stainless Steel is loved not only for its aesthetic beauty, but most important for its durability. Stainless steel resists rust and is extremely resilient in intense heat. It is guaranteed to outlive galvanized steel.
The Stainless Steel upgrade applies to the Corsair Arch Sides, Base Stack and Stack Pipe as called out in the photo below.
Popular Sizes | Actual Footprint | Size of Firebox |
2′ x 3′ | 25-1/2″ x 4′ 3″ | 2′ x 2′ |
2′ x 4′ | 25-1/2″ x 5′ 3″ | 2′ x 2′ |
2′ x 5′ | 25-1/2″ x 6′ 3″ | 2′ x 2′ |
2′ x 6′ | 25-1/2″ x 7′ 3″ | 2′ x 2′ |
2′ x 8′ | 25-1/2″ x 9′ 3″ | 2′ x 30″ |
30″ x 8′ | 31-1/2″ x 9′ 3″ | 30″ x 30″ |
30″ x 10′ | 31-1/2″ x 11′ 3″ | 30″ x 30″ |
30″ x 12′ | 31-1/2″ x 13′ 3″ | 30″ x 30″ |
NOTE: The “Popular Sizes” listed above refer to the pan size that each arch is designed for. For example, our 2′ x 4′ Corsair Arch accommodates a 2′ x 4′ pan, but its actual width x length is 25-1/2″ x 5’3″. All Corsair arches stand 32″ tall.
Competitor doors/fireboxes are often much too small. In contrast, the 16" x 16" Corsair doorway makes it easier to load wood, and generate more heat.
If you ever want to upgrade to Forced Draft — either now or in the future — you need an airtight door. With Corsair, you’re all set.
Regardless whether you have Forced Draft or Natural Draft, an airtight door increases efficiency. A leaky door works against you by allowing cold air to enter the firebox and cool your pans.
Our competitors’ cast iron door fronts have been cracking since the 1800s. The Smoky Lake Corsair door will not. We guarantee it.

Adam Poplawski –
I’ve had the 2×4 hybrid pan for 2 years. Was impressed with the pan but in combination with the Corsair Arch this year it absolutely exceeds my expectations. I have a blower but have yet to have to turn it on. First big boil yesterday for me here in North/Central Vermont. My evaporation rate was 27 GPH! Double what I was seeing last year with the same pan but non Corsair arch. Looking forward to firing it up again! Thank you!

Jim and Angela,
Three years ago I purchased a 2′ x 6′ hybrid pan from you that I ran on an oil tank arch that I fabricated. I was getting about 20-25 gallons of evaporation per hour. This year I upgraded to a corsair arch with the forced draft kit and I am getting 35 gallons per hour burning pine. I expect close to 40 gph when I run hardwood. Needless to say I am very happy with the performance and quality of both the arch and pan! I am using less wood and saving a ton of boiling time. Thank you for the fantastic work that you do. I am a very satisfied customer and cannot say enough good things about the quality and craftmanship of your products.
