Smoky Lake will be donating a percentage of January, 2021’s sales to support the Aldo Leopold Foundation, nonprofit conservation organization whose mission is to inspire an ethical, caring relationship between people and nature.
Smoky Lake is very fortunate to have developed a relationship with this great organization, and we are so thankful for their work throughout Wisconsin and beyond.
In 2021, Smoky Lake was proud to feature the Aldo Leopold Foundation’s Forest Management video series on our Facebook page. The series covered a variety of topics including invasive species, harvesting edible forest plants, and maximizing your sugarbush’s return on investment. It was a very well-done video series still available for your viewing enjoyment. We highly recommend!
This past December, we were also very excited for the opportunity to distribute copies of their extremely popular book, “My Healthy Woods” at no charge to SmokyLakeMaple.com customers. Although our supply of complimentary books has now run out, you may still score copy of this well-done book from the Aldo Leopold website for a nominal cost.
Later this year, we will be sharing more videos that were inspired by our relationship and conversations with the Aldo Leopold Foundation. So stay tuned for that!
In the meantime, check out the Aldo Leopold ethics in action in this recent episode of “Discover Wisconsin”.
The Aldo Leopold Foundation has received high ratings on Charity Navigator, including a 100% score in the “give with confidence” category.
We look forward to a continued partnership with Aldo Leopold Foundation and we thank you for helping us support this great cause through your purchases on SmokyLakeMaple.com.
