Front Label Checklist
- Name of the product (Maple Syrup)
- Net Volume (listed on the bottom 1/3 of the label)
Back Label Checklist
- Nutrition Facts
- Ingredients List
- Allergens List (Required if you use butter as a defoamer or if your product is packaged in a facility that handles eggs, soy, nuts, shellfish or any other common allergen.)
- Storage Instructions
- Producer’s name and physical address
Other Considerations
- Website
- Color grade
- Gluten free
- Recycling symbol / “Put litter in it’s place” icon
- Kosher certification
- Organic certification
- Thank the customer for purchasing
- Association affiliations
- Special stickers of origin (generally part of a state-wide commerce or agriculture program)
