This Sight Glass configuration will still allow you to draw off syrup from this port. You will just have the added benefit of being able to see your pan’s syrup level.
ALWAYS use Teflon Tape on threaded stainless steel fittings. This will prevent binding, increase ease of adjustability, and enhance the water-tight seal.

This Sight Glass is designed to display the syrup level within your Smoky Lake Bottler. This is especially handy if you do your Filtering and Bottling processes simultaneously. Now, you’ll always know exactly how full the bottler is without needing to remove the lid, reducing the risk of an overflow.
Another benefit of this Sight Glass is that it extends your Tomlinson Valve away from the body of your Bottler. Many folks have reported that they enjoy having this extra space while bottling.
This kit is priced with a bundle discount. In other words, you are saving money by ordering this complete kit as opposed to purchasing the parts individually.
This Sight Glass is compatible both with Water Jacketed Bottlers and Steam Bottlers.
